ISWCS 2015 is soliciting proposals for new and recurring workshops. ISWCS will hold multiple half- or one-day workshops in conjunction with the conference, to be held in Brussels August 25-28 2015. Workshops will tentatively take place on Tuesday, August 25. We invite you to submit workshop proposals on any topic related to the broad set of research and application areas covered the by ISWCS conference.

Workshops should emphasize current topics of particular interest, and are typically project-oriented including a mix of technical papers, invited presentations and panels that encourage the participation of attendees. Papers can be added to IEEE Xplore and the Conference Proceedings. ISWCS workshops can be half or full day, and can possibly include demo or poster sessions.

A workshop proposal should contain at least the following information:

  • Title of the workshop.

  •  A brief description (1 page max) of the motivation and rationale for the workshop, emphasizing its timeliness.

  • Length of the workshop: Halfday, Fullday.

  • Names, addresses, and a short CV (up to 200 words) of the organizers.

  • Names of potential participants, such as program committee members and invited speakers.

Please indicate whether prospective TPC members or speakers have been contacted, and whether they have accepted the invitation. We strongly discourage speculative listings.

  • Workshop format, i.e., expected number of presented papers, invited talks, panels, demonstrations, etc. Typical workshops at ISWCS accept paper submissions and organize a peer-review, yet workshops based on invited papers/presentations only are not excluded. There is an option to have reviewed papers included in the conference proceedings.

  • If appropriate, a description of past versions of the workshop, including number of submitted and accepted papers, number of attendees, etc.

  • A description of the publicity and promotion plan.
